Objectives of this role:Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround timeContinually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives actionIs well adept with the latest trends, language, tone and pop-cultureComfortably vary voice, style, and other characteristics demanded by the industry, company, or target audience at handMaintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and client-related industry trendsStay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging
Everyday responsibilities:Interpret creative briefs to develop and produce creative concepts through execution on assigned brandsResearch and understand the client’s needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetingsCollaborate with account managers, media teams and external stakeholders such as influencers, influencer manager agencies, production houses, etc from concept development to delivery of the final content piecePresent copy concepts and final deliverables to the internal team, and to client representative as needed, and participate in client pitches on occasion
Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice that’s best suits the client and the target audiences Collaborate with designers, PR, and other professionals on large- and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages)Edit and proofread copy as neededUse SEO principles to maximize copy’s reachSource images and other content
Skills:
2-3 years of experience in copy at a digital agencyAbility to manage multiple accounts while working on new pitchesAbility to understand client’s needs/ brief ask to craft sharp creatives and captionsHave a sound understanding of the social media platforms, real-time trends, influencer marketing and a good grasp on consumer behavior/ content consumption on socials.Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in mass media/advertising/marketing or a related discipline
Qualifications and Prior Experience:
Proven experience as a copywriter at a digital agency. Experience in having worked on a youth centric/ dating app will be beneficialAn active personal/ personally managed social media page (Instagram, Twitter)Creative ideation spanning across social media content (posts, activities, influencer marketing)Knowledge of online content strategy and creationExcellent writing, editing, and proofreading skillsExperience with SEO is PreferredStrong research skillsCreativityCollaborative spiritExcellent time-management and organizational skillsBMM/ BSc/ BA in marketing, English, journalism, or related field
