About role:
Design, develop and implement database systems based on project requirements.
Prepare design specifications and functional documentations for assigned database projects. Perform space management and capacity planning for database systems.
Ensure data quality and integrity in databases.
Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
Participate in database design and architecture to support application development projects. Perform data back- up and archival on regular basis.
Develop security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized usage.
Evaluate existing database and recommend improvements for performance efficiency. Develop best practices for database design and development activities.
About you :
5 or more years of experience in core database design and query writing
Advanced knowledge of Postgres database.
Advanced knowledge of mongoDB including features like replica set, Shrading, Change Streams and also with respect to analytics.
Knowledge of SQL Server
Strong in putting standards in place to ensure the database design & code is produced with proper integrity & performance & readability.
Strong database optimization skills including query optimization, indexing, tracing and partitioning.
Performance tuning/ testing, index analysis and interpreting SQL execution plan trees.
Ability to document processes Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting Business Intelligence and reporting experience is a plus Experience with NoSQL databases.
Should have some hands on experience and ideas towards Data Engineering tools like Apache Spark, Flume , Flink and Kafka
Candidate should have experience on python coding language an should be experienced towards popular data engineering libraries and their usages
