Few notables among the multiple areas that we are responsible for:
Core Reporting: This includes both new report development and enhancements in existing reports across, spanning across all 3 stages of customer lifecycle – acquisition, ECM and Retention
Campaign performance tracking: Design, manage & maintain short & long term profitability tracking of various executed campaigns across Campaign Lifecycle
Ad-hoc Reporting – handling ad-hoc data request coming from across business and functions to understand given business problems.
Automation & control implementation – End to end automation of reports through using advance SAS, Unix & VBA. Control implementation in reporting in order to reduce the error rate.
Data Management: Creating and maintaining data marts to ease the reporting function
Expertise Required:
Analytical Skills
Data Extraction and Data Manipulation: – Working with the huge databases to meet the data needs for the project and play an SME role ensuring understanding of end to end data processes, system, Architecture etc. SAS hands-on experience is a must, should be an expert in data management using SAS. Should be able to mentor juniors on project needs.
MIS Reporting and Data Analysis: – Code, Test and Execute information systems projects. Standardization/Reengineering and Efficient production of MIS reports– achieved by having a standardized data flow, common definitions of metrics and consistent MIS formats. Able to design reports from scratch and use BI tools for efficient report generation. Support business on ad-hoc queries and ensuring quality with timelines
Tools and Platforms
Proficient in advanced SAS, SQL & Unix (Must have)
Proficient in MS Excel, VBA, PowerPoint (Must have)
Tableau expertise (good to have)
Domain Skills
In depth understanding of
Financial Domain – Cards, Retail Bank, Mortgage
Customer Lifecycle Management
Customer engagement (Pricing, P&L forecasting)
Customer retention
(Preferred) – Knowledge of Credit Card PnL, Understanding or Retail Business
Soft Skills
Should have excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Must have capability to clearly communicate analyses. Presentations to both technical and non-technical personnel are required to be made frequently as part of the job.
Ability to work efficiently in a matrix environment balancing between both business and functional interactions and priorities
Contribute to organizational initiatives in wide ranging areas including competency development, training, organizational building activities etc.
Ability to work effectively across portfolio teams and functional areas teams
Ability to thrive in a techno-functional role that requires not only standardized reporting, but also on demand ad-hoc analyses
Responsibilities:
The MIS/Data Management lead is expected to:
Be a direct interface of the team with the various stakeholders
Be directly accountable for flawless execution and delivery on meeting the reporting requirements
Manage and mentor a team information solutions analysts
Continually identify opportunities for advancing the reporting capabilities through process automation and enhancement
Manage / Mentor a team of Analysts , Senior Analyst , Principal Analysts in the delivery of respective projects
Design and development of MIS / Data Management activities
Accountable for regular reporting or process administration as owner
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
1. 10+years of relevant work experience with extensive knowledge of MIS REPORTING /Data Management principles and Information Systems development, with particular emphasis in the use of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Architectures
2. Career must evidence the following experiences
Program managing a large MIS or Data Management Initiatives
Hands-On knowledge on the following technologies – SAS( Advanced ) , MS SQL Server, UNIX, Automation etc.
Education:
Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
