Job Description : Responsibilities:
Data Engineer responsibilities include understanding technical designs specifications and develop process for data cleansing, transformation and aggregation using set processes. Build data pipelines, data streams using APIs and scripts from various sources. Create and customize processes as requested by clients, perform validation to meet design specs and requirement.
Create and Maintain data pipelines/ETL flow between data systems, heterogenous data sources like AWS S3, ODS, Redshift or HDFS systems
Work with Lead Data Engineers help define and implement data definitions and data governance process
Document current data systems, design and build complex ETL and data warehouses working with developer
Mentor junior Data Engineer, review code and optimization of code/SQL
Build analytical reports and KPIs and measures required for adhoc reporting as per specification
Good understanding of data modelling to work on minor change requests and enhancements
Collaboration with different teams and automation for delivery for optimized and standardized
Skills:
3-6 years of experience in Data Engineering or working on Enterprise Data Warehouses & Business Intelligence environments
4+ years of experience in developing data processing from heterogenous sources using ETL tools or programming languages like Python/Scala/PySpark/PLSQL
3+ years of experience in designing and developing ETL jobs, data transformation using PL/SQL
2+ years of working experience in AWS Cloud services – S3, AWS Glue, Athena, Lambda, EC2, Redshift
2+ year of working experience with Database technologies – SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, RedShift, MongoDB, etc
1+ years of experience in atleast one modern programming language like Python/PYSpark/Powershell
Good understanding of data warehouse architecture & design- both on premises and cloud (AWS or Azure or GCP)
Experience of Life Sciences and Healthcare is a plus
Experience with at least one ETL tool like Informatica, Datastage, Snowflake, Talend, etc is required
