Job Description : JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are Opening in Dean , Job Location Ghana-AfricaJob Title: Full-timeDepartment/College: Department of ICTDirectly responsible to Dean of AcademicsSupervisory responsibility for RectorPurpose of the job: * Strategic oversight of all matters relating to teaching, research and learning;Academic policy initiation and administration; andCoordination of student administration with the faculty and relevant stake holders.Required Qualification: · Ph. D in Computer Science or IT· Publications in reputed Journals and Conferences· Minimum 5 years of experience post-doctorate degree· Minimum 3 years of experience as a Head of the Department in a reputed institutionMajor Duties: Policy and leadership: · Advise the Dean on all faculty matters related to teaching, research, and learning;· Represent the department on appropriate committees;· Manage the faculty interactions and interactions with partner/affiliate or similar institutions in relation to teaching and learning.· Develop and implement the Faculty Teaching and Learning Enhancement Plan and monitor progress towards stated performance targets.· Implement measures to control the student dropoutTeaching and learning enhancement: · Contribute to the ongoing review and management of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.· Oversee development, enhancement and evaluation of new and existing degree programmes.· Develop and implement strategies to deal with academic integrity issues across the faculty’s teaching and learning activities;· Develop, implement and oversee strategies to enhance the student experience;· Advise the Dean on mechanisms for the distribution of the faculty’s teaching budget; and· Ensure Resources are properly allocated and Time Table is prepared before the start of a session in coordination with Heads of the Department.· Ensure the course progression report, course syllabus (min. 5 units), internal and external assessment records, PPT’s are maintained by all the faculties.· Periodic assessment of faculty files in coordination with the Department Heads to ensure smooth academic operation.· Ensure the departments are organizing Industrial Visits, Seminars and Workshop to enhance the student skills.· Timely compilation of internal assessment scores & submission to exam department.· Responsible for Internal & external moderation of question bank & question papers.Teaching scholarship and staff development: · Develop and support strategies to attract both external funding for teaching innovation and scholarship;· Develop mechanisms to promote staff development in the area of teaching and learning, and identify and support prospective candidates for teaching excellence awards; and· Coordinate faculty events.· Academic management of student administration· Exercise delegated authority in relation to student-related issues such as deferment, change of program, change of batch, opting specialization, etc.,· Oversee student administration and academic advising arrangements in the faculty· In consultation with the HOD’s, establish appropriate procedures to ensure the efficient and professional management of student matters.Human resources management: Assist the Dean as required in the management of human resource issues, including the recruitment and selection of staff, staff performance appraisal, performance management issues and staff grievances; andExternal relation: Assist the Dean to:Maintain effective links with government agencies relevant to the College’s teaching and learning activities;Maintain links with employers of graduates; andSet up and maintain productive links with offshore sources of international studentsOther duties: Representing the Department of IT in the team of Registrar with respect to Institutional affiliation, Program accreditation, new program documents & Academic Audit, etc.Annual conferenceResearch & conferencesJob Types: Full-time, Regular / PermanentSalary: ₹150,000.00 – ₹200,000.00 per monthBenefits:Health insuranceSchedule:Morning shiftSupplemental Pay:Performance bonusApplication Question(s):Are you ready to relocate Ghana -AfricaEducation:Doctorate (Preferred)Experience:total work: 10 years (Preferred)Speak with the employer+91-XXXXXXXXXX
