With us, you’ll find a diverse group of colleagues with different backgrounds and perspectives. We believe everyone has something of value to offer, and that sustaining a truly diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace begins with fostering an environment where people can be themselves, authentically, every day. We want to build something with the potential to change the heart of our industry, and we’d love to include your unique perspective.
In the junior to mid level role of a Digital Asset Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the Digital Asset Management system for one of MediaMonks’ biggest clients. Our creative production teams across the globe produce content for every possible channel you can think of on a daily basis. All this content is stored in our DAM (running on Adobe AEM) by those teams. The DAM is also integrated with multiple workflows for review and approval and delivery to various channels. All of this needs to be done in the correct way, which is where you come in.
In addition to that, you are responsible to train new team members, offer first line support on user questions and report bugs to our internal development team. Our DAM also has an asset library, used by our client and their agencies. You are able to assist our monks in questions they receive from these parties too. Part archivist / vault, part technology wizard, part instructor, part enforcer, you will use your skills and knowledge to help the team work efficiently. This is high volume, high velocity work. Accuracy is critical and new material will be coming in from many teams.
Our ideal candidate is a fast and flexible go-getter who jumps on tasks at hand but also looks ahead at what is coming in the (near) future) collaboration with our creative and operational team is key here.
You have a solution-oriented mindset, a knack for building and maintaining processes and relationships, and with a natural aptitude for collaboration and tech.
In this role you will:
Maintain the DAM by making sure all assets are stored correctly by our monks, the right metadata is added and the folders stay clean. All efforts to ensure assets can be found in a heartbeat.
Establish and maintain relations with our internal teams in your region (North America and Latin America),
Develop and maintain training materials for both the DAM and its integrated tools.
Train new and existing monks where needed on our DAM, asset review and approval platform and asset library.
Collaborate with your counterpart on the other side of the world, doing the same for the MEU and AMEA region.
Answer first line support questions on use of the DAM and the asset library.
Log bugs and feature requests in collaboration with our development monks.
Experience you already have:
1-2 years professional experience as a Digital Asset Manager in advertising and marketing.
Experience using a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. Preferably as administrator, or at least as librarian/curator.
You’re experienced in working with creative, ops and account teams.
You combine asset management with critical thinking and a hands-on approach; this enables you to ask the right questions and waterproof training materials and feature requests for future development.
You have a strong understanding about the different types of assets used to make creative work (image, video, sound, font, animation, templates, etc.)
An ability to adapt quickly and accommodate creative requirements without compromising compliance and integrity.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills.
You are a consummate networker and relationship builder with the ability to navigate a global organization.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and changing priorities.
