Salary: £75-80k per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Katharine House Hospice and Compton Care are collaborating to create an exciting new joint post. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician wishing to step up to a board level role.
This joint appointment will open up opportunities to share good practice more easily between the two hospices. The postholder will explore areas of joint working – for example establishing mutual aid or joint bank staff arrangements – and ways to streamline our governance processes. Our aim is to improve the free specialist palliative care offered to the people of Mid Staffordshire and Wolverhampton.
Working 4 days per week for Katharine House Hospice (KHH) and 1 day per week for Compton Care (CC).
KHH – the postholder will be the Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission, will lead on all matters relating to care services, will lead a dedicated care team and mentor senior clinicians enabling growth and development of the Service Managers.
CC – the postholder will support the chief Executive/Director of Nursing with projects to enhance the provision of care services to patients.
The successful applicant will be an exceptional individual with vision and a passion for the delivery of patient and family focussed palliative care services. We are looking for a leader who can empower others and whose influence will extend from the delivery of outstanding services to both Boards of Trustees.
An enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be required and you must have flexibility for some out of hours work, including evening Trustee meetings.
