Job Description : EDUCATION OFFICER(Full Time, Fixed Term Contract with potential extension)Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation (MFCF) is the Club’s independent charity set up in 1996 by Chairman Steve Gibson. We use the power of the MFC brand to engage with the community to provide opportunities for disadvantaged young people and adults to maximise their potential to achieve.Based between MFCF’s offices at the Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough and Herlingshaw Centre, South Bank, this is an exciting and unique opportunity to be involved in a growing and passionate team within an award-winning professional football club charity. The Education Officer will deliver on all aspects of the Premier League Inspires Programme, developed by the Premier League and professional football clubs, to support local secondary school students who are marginalised or at risk of not reaching their potential and supporting them as they move through the educational system and early adulthood.The Role: · To plan, deliver and evaluate a range of sessions which contribute towards the Programme, including, but not limited to, coursework for awarding qualifications and to ensure a range of activities appropriate to various learning abilities.· Provide whole group and 1:1 provision for young people, predominantly aged 11-16 years.· Assist in monitoring the progress of the project and assist in producing statistical data.· Act as an internal verifier for MFCF for all qualifications offered across designated projects.· Work closely with students, stakeholders and schools to ensure that sessions meet the needs of all students.· Assist with collating and producing case studies, data and evidence of assessment to feed back to schools, funders and stakeholders to evidence the effectiveness of the programme.· Build and develop links with schools, community groups and other relevant organisations to maximise the student experience.Candidates should: · Have experience of working with young people in an education and/or youth work/recreational setting as well as managing and improving challenging behaviour.· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with people (specifically young people) from all backgrounds.· Be able to demonstrate a positive attitude, with a strong focus on teamwork and be able to build positive and supportive relationships.· Be results driven without compromising on quality of service and continuous improvement and be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.· Have strong presentation and IT skills.· Possess an understanding of and commitment to Safeguarding practice, GDPR and promoting diversity and equal opportunities.· Be flexible since this role will include working weekends and/or evenings when required.· Be eligible to work in the UK and possess a full driving license with access to own vehicle.This post falls within the scope of ‘regulated activity’ and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974).
