Job Description : Overview:
Zebra is responsible to provide solutions for customers requirements using Zebra devices and cutting-edge technologies. Professional Services Team focus on making the most of technology and data-creating new sources of competitive advantage and ensuring Zebra technologies deliver more efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and Zebra policies and procedures
Ability to identify end user issues and propose solutions on moderate process issues
Typically, works on major problems/enhancements of complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
Interacts with cross functional IT team in a collaborative nature and works with cross-functional linked teams on global projects
Work on the Problem Management and create the RCA for the Critical incidents
Provides regular updates to manager on project/work status
Provide technical support for customers via tickets, chat and/or telephone; diagnose, troubleshoot and repair computer systems, software or networked and/or wireless systems
Expert level Troubleshoot and resolve the incidents (Hardware and software) related to Desktop/Laptop and associated peripherals
Installation and configuration of desktop and Laptop with the Standard image
Operating Systems (OS) installation/re-installation, upgrades and Patches updates
Software installations such as OS (Various flavors), Office, MS Project as requirement
Manage Tickets in on-line systems: Activate tickets upon review, Escalate issues if necessary, close tickets upon completion.
Desktop IMAC and Co-ordinate with Vendors for Support
Assistance for hardware and software procurement
Manage on-site asset management (Hardware and Software Inventory, disposal, etc.)
Implementing a preventative maintenance program for desktops and Laptops
Oversee and update assigned support service requests.
Handle daily technical support activities on desktop support, data network and server management.
Work Closely with the business and Understand the requirement and provide the appropriate solution
Co-ordinate with the global team/Regional functional team to resolve all the IT related issues to the users including the Engineering Applications
Qualifications:
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Computer Science,
Must have 7+ years of experience in Desktop/Windows Support
Certified Microsoft professional (MCSA or MCSE) or RHCE will be added advantage
Knowledge of L1 level support in LINUX environment
Good Networking knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
Strong problem solving and customer related skills and ability to interact well with people of all levels – internally and externally.
Ability to prioritize and deliver service, to agreed service levels, within a diverse and constantly changing technical environment
