What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Team for this position?
The person is a domain expert and responsible for design, development and implementation of various applications in the area of architecting and deploying analytics application pipelines and provide support.
The person will be required to collaborate with business teams / functional teams and IT counterparts for daily support incidents and project activities in different business areas across all geographies.
The person should have the ability to understand the requirements related to business problems and transform that into a solution design.
Who are you?
You are an architect -Understand and apply information technology standards to daily support and project implementation activitiesApply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to tackle highly sophisticated business processes and procedural problemsManage and/or perform the design, build and testing of business applications and its architecture in line with agreed time frames, business requirements and global standardsMaintain production systems reliability through correct utilization of GIT standard support and governance processesSupport day to day business requirements according to global SLADeliver solutions to tackle business requirements considering priorities and resources availability
You connect the dots -Ensure the proper use of information technology project management methodology to comply of IT governance practicesEnsure proper documentation of processes, knowledge acquisitions and transfersReview program codes and suggest correction in case of any errorsConduct performance tuning to improve system performance over multiple business processes
You are a collaborator -Collaborate with business and functional teams, develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project
You are a mentor / coach -Manage / guide members to implement multi-functional projects / initiatives using project management standardsMentor and coach junior resources
You are an innovator -Stay updated with the latest technological advancement. Adapt to these changes by self-training and research work and evaluate how / where it can contribute to the business
What you’ll need? (Required)
We are looking for a candidate with minimum 8 years of experience in a Architect roleExperience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and find opportunities for improvement.Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.Experience supporting and working with multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Should also have experience using the following Software/tools:
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases: MongoDB, Neo4j, etcExperience with cloud services: GCP, AWS, etcExperience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, etc.Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.Experience with Data Flow, Data Pipeline and workflow management tools: Cloud Composer, Airflow, Luigi, etc.Knowledge on SAP technical architecture is preferredKnowledge on Database, Server and Operating SystemsKnowledge on SAP Cloud Platform, SAP API, Python, Google Cloud PlatformKnowledge on new dimensional technologies like Machine Learning, RPA, Data ScienceStrong oral & written communication skillsAbility to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logicallyAbility to fix and identify root causeShould be flexible and adaptable to new technologies
What you’ll need? (Preferred)
Demonstrate good experience in architecting Analytics Applications in GCP and various services like Google Compute, BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Google Kubernetes EngineCandidate must have experience in RDBMS (Postgres, Oracle, MySQL) database and tuning SQL queriesA great candidate will have a broad understanding of all these technologies and in-depth knowledge of someMust have had experience in building and deploying CI/CD pipelines for application life cycle managementVisualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.Solid Understanding of SAP applications SAP BW, FI, SD, MM
