Spring Hill Primary School is looking to recruit an exceptional Teaching Assistant to work as part of our Early Years Foundation Stage Team. You will work very closely with the reception class teachers on our exciting journey to provide the very best education for our children. We believe that happy, secure children learn most effectively so you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to nurture and develop positive relationships.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and the characteristics of effective learning. The ability to interact with children’s play and use effective questioning to help children take the next steps in their learning is crucial. You will have a strong knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum which will enable you to make assessments of children as part of your role.
As we continually reflect on making our provision the very best that it can be we are looking for someone who is up for this challenge and who will bring their own ideas and passion to really make a difference to our children. We are looking for a strong team member who has the ability and confidence to use their own initiative and to lead groups on their own as well as support the class teacher.
This position is offered at 31.25 hours per week working Monday to Friday, 8.30 – 3.30 with a weekly staff meeting of 1.25 hours and 60-minute unpaid lunch break. This is paid at grade 5, working term time only plus 5 INSET days. This is an EYFS TA position, but you may be required to work in other year groups if required.

Essential Qualifications
GCSE (or equivalent) grade C or above in English and Mathematics
