The role of Financial Controller is integral to the continued secure growth of the business.About the role: Kanwal UK Corporation LTD is looking for a Financial Controller in Dunstable to join our expanding team. We are looking for an ambitious Finance professional with all-round skills, capable of driving business growth and establishing best practices alongside the senior management team. The Financial Controller will manage the finance team reporting into the Managing Director. This is an exciting and variable role which will include Financial Planning, Controls and Reporting, and Commercial Analysis in order to equip the business with financial insights, monitor performance vs budget and play a key role in driving cost efficiencies.This is a role with substantial room for growth and progression, and an ideal opportunity for someone looking to move up to the next stage of their finance career. You will be a critical member of the management structure and a key influence in strategy and operations as the business grows.What you Offer / About YouFinancial Controller training or equivalent combination of education and work experience2+ years’ experience in a similar roleACCA / CIMA / ACA fully qualifiedAccounts receivable and accounts payableHave experience of managing and running payrollSage experience is essentialProficiency in Microsoft Suite (including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) + ADOBE, SharePoint, Teams, and ZoomEnglish language fluencyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders and build and manage local/remote relationships.Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Ability to balance a varied and demanding workloadProven organizational skills and efficiencyBusiness orientated; critical mind willing to understand and analyse the business drivers behind the numbersPro-active and challenging mindset; self-motivated and self-directed. Willingness to walk the extra mile with a commitment towards continuous learning.Accuracy and attention to detail with an ability to work at both a detailed and strategic level.Team player who works well in a collaborative, highly committed cultureAll candidates and employees must have the Right to Work in the UK as required by the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.Financial Controller Position OverviewManagement of the businesses financial accounting and reporting systemsProduction of accurate financial reportsRunning and reporting daybook summaries.Bank and payment reconciliation.End of month journals.Prepare monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasts.Quarterly VAT Return and Corporation TaxSubmit annual figures to FCA and HMRC.Submit End of year PAYE return to HMRCSubmit annual figures and handle enquiries to and from auditors, FCA and HMRCPayroll reporting and payroll managementInsurance, fleet and pension managementInvolvement with budgeting and forecasting processesBalance sheet reconciliationsOwnership and management of purchase and sales ledger including credit controlConstantly seeking ways to improve process and controlsProvision of management accounts in a timely manner, including the reporting of key financial information to all internal and external stakeholdersCash management.
