Responsibilities:
Analyze in-service flight operations data extracted from Digital Flight Data Recorders
Decode binary flight data (airplanes & helicopters), validate the information and integrate into the database
Flight data analysis using in-house tools based on C#, Java, Python etc
Develop algorithms to sample, extract, transform and analyze data starting from single flight to millions of flights using various big data tools/technologies
Perform statistical analysis and consolidate the results with the help of experts and specialists
Create analysis/safety reports for the customers with findings and recommendations
Build tools/scripts to automate and increase the efficiency of the legacy processes
Use of AI/ML techniques for the development, testing & deployment of applications to answer business needs
Compliance to maintain data confidentiality
Required Domain Expertise:
Aerospace/Mechanical/Electronics Engineer preferably with experience in aerospace industry.
Required Technical Expertise:
Aviation domain experience (Flight Operations, Flight Physics/Mechanics, Systems, Maintenance)
At least one of the following:
Programming language (C, C#, Java, Python, etc)
Databases (SQL, PLSql, etc)
Data visualization, dash-boarding (Tableau, R, etc)
Big Data (Spark, Hadoop, etc)
Cloud (AWS, ePaaS)
Nice to have knowledge on: Splunk, Artifactory, GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc
Required Soft Skills:
Good presentation & communication skills
Ability to think critically, analyze data, make decisions and solve complex problems
Ability to convey complex analyses with the most efficient and intuitive visual methods
Ability to effectively communicate findings
Experience:
2 – 6 yrs
