Position Overview
Optimas is backed by American Industrial Partners (a PE house) and credibility in cash forecasting is a key focus of the finance function. We are looking to recruit an experienced FP&A contractor to overhaul our existing cash forecasting process and model to give greater accuracy and visibility into the variables and the movements.
Optimas has global cash flows in/out of circa $1bn all managed through a central Treasury function. This role will sit within the FP&A finance teams and will work closely with Treasury to build and develop the existing model from an FP&A perspective – i.e. to deliver improved forecasting and better variance analysis
Key Tasks and Responsibilities are defined but not limited to:
Partner with multiple process owner stakeholders to improve the timeliness and accuracy of the inputs into the global model
Both within the centralised finance functions, but also
Sales & Operations personnel who influence the longer term forecast
Consolidating multiple foreign currency flows
Create visibility through variance reporting of the moving pieces of the forecast
Create suite of reporting tools, including fx impacts
Drive the analysis of short and medium term variances
Draw conclusions and provide insight on cash movements
Present up to VP level
Incorporate covenant relationships monitoring and other restrictions monitoring
Link projected inventory movements into future cash position expectations
Key Skills and Competences:
Qualified Accountant or QBE
Proven project implementation experience
Advanced excel user, e.g. manipulating data via use of pivots / lookups, etc.
Accuracy and attention to detail
Good communication – Ability to communicate confidently and professionally across all levels with internal and external contacts
