Ultimately, you want to learn and help your team, Castle and clients grow!Reporting to: Head of WebThe jobYou will be joining a rapid development team working with numerous different stacks, from Shopify to Statamic, Laravel to WordPress. You will be responsible for developing a website from design, all the way to deployment and management, working closely with the Head of Web, Web Manager, Account Managers, clients, and other stakeholders to hit deadlines and ensure that websites are pixel perfect, stable and issue free.Key Responsibilities· Develop websites from design to deployment· Manage existing brand websites· Work in cross-functional teams such as content and design· Liaise with clients for any issues and updates· Ensure you hit deadlines for new builds and updates to live work· Ensure all work you create is compatible on mobile devices and different browsers· Ensure your work is performant and doesn’t have a detrimental impact to site metrics· Ensure the integrity of existing codebasesWorking hours9:30 – 5:00 Mon-Fri. Office based role. We are a community, a team, and that’s what makes us unique.Required skills· Shopify experience, both UI, capabilities & liquid code· Experience with PHP (not full backend, but enough to get you by if you run into a problem)· GIT experience· Package Manager experience (NPM, Yarn etc)· WordPress experience· Templating languages (Liquid, Antlers, Twig, Blade etc) experience· General understanding of SEO principles· Demonstrated experience with JavaScript or jQuery· Experience fixing performance issues on website to meet Google CWV· Understanding of APIs and how to implement them· Understanding of User Experience and User Interface Design· Cross Browser Testing & Mobile First development· Experience speaking with clientsBonus skills· Experience with React, Angular, Vue or other JS Frameworks· Some experience with Adobe Suite software (Photoshop, Illustrator)· Experience working in SCRUMS or adopting AGILE methodologies· Experience with Headless technology· Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment· Experience working with celebrity level clientele· Understanding of key metrics such as CRO, AoV, LTV and what factor impact themSoftware we useWe use various technologies to support our diverse clientele.
