Job Description : IQGeo is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to support our Web and Mobile Software engineering efforts for domestic and international SMB customers. This role joins a dynamic team that enjoys working with complex applications and products that utilize software, GIS, engineering, and problem-solving skills. Our flexible scheduling and outstanding benefits support success in a highly creative, innovative, and energetic company. Our Engineering team, with teams located in Cambridge, UK, Denver, USA, Salt Lake City, USA, and remote are responsible for designing and developing our Geospatial products. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be a part of the remote Engineering team, developing the next generation of innovative geospatial products that support mission-critical operations for our global customer base. The person in this role is expected to be capable of working independently, and as a team member, and should have experience working with complex software business and enterprise applications.
Duties/Responsibilities
As an integral part of the Geospatial engineering team, the successful candidate will be developing new product releases to meet the growing list of requirements for the Web9 product. Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Design, development, unit-testing, maintenance, and enhancement of software products adhering to the product architecture
Implementation of automated testing
Configuration management, management of builds, and creation of installers
Technical documentation of software design
Required Skills/Abilities
Successful candidates will be enthusiastic individuals with a strong technical background in general software quality assurance and test skills related to the following:
Essential
Experience building efficient client-side applications in JavaScript
Experience building efficient server-side applications in C# .NET
Experience integrating front-end and back-end components
Experience with SQL and RDBMS technology (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SQLite)
Minimum 3 years of comparable technology and industry experience
UK citizenship or permanent residency required

Desirable
Experience creating and running automated tests
Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) or web mapping
Experience working in an Agile environment
Git or other distributed version control systems
Experience with Linux system architecture/administration and supporting network architecture
Knowledge of Python design and development
Knowledge of React design and development
Knowledge of Node.js design and development
Enterprise Integration especially web services
Mobile application development (iOS, Android, Windows)
General
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Our UK offices are based in Cambridge. However, we offer a remote / hybrid working style and are willing to consider suitable applicants based at other locations in the UK.
