Job Description : The Global Portfolio Swap (GPS) team is responsible for a Synthetics Equity Trading Platform managing hundreds of Billion $ balances for top Hedge Fund clients globally. Our business is ranked as global number 2 and aspires to reach number 1 in near future. Our development team aims to offer world leading technical solutions for our business to succeed. As a software engineer in our team, you will be working on firm wide strategic platforms to handle massive amount of data and complex business logic.
The Global Portfolio Swap (GPS) team look for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. You’ll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. This role offers flexible working arrangements up to 40% work from home.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Experience of web based UI frameworks and development methodologies including React, HTML5 & CSS
Experience of server-side development in Java
Experience of test driven software development processes (TDD/BDD)
Knowledge of Oracle Database (12c or higher) or similar and SQL
Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
The following attributes are desirable, but not essential to the role:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Experience working in full stack development
Knowledge of Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Integration and Spring Cloud
Knowledge of Microservice architecture
Knowledge or experience in working in an Agile environment
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
