Job Description : Functional Skills TutorConstruction Plant and Assessments in Denaby, Doncaster are looking to hire a self-employed or PAYE Functional Skills Tutor to teach Further Education Level 2 Apprentices (Maths & English.We are committed to making a difference and we need motivated and passionate colleagues who can make it happen.We are an accredited training provider, delivering apprenticeship training and education to the flooring and construction sectors.We also deliver NVQ on-site assessments, training for plant operations and CPCS and NPORS qualifications.The Functional Skills Tutor role is to work one day a week with the possibility of extra hours.In this role you will be required to:To be committed to the safeguarding of learners, be aware of and adhere to CP Assessments policies and proceduresTo plan and prepare effective and inclusive functional skills sessionsWork with learners to develop personalised learning plans, to equip them with the skills, knowledge and behaviours facilitating positive progress towards their longer-term aspirationsPrepare learners for exams and effectively assess and grade mock exams and provide formative feedback to learnersProvide feedback and progress to learners’ on a regular basis and work with the curriculum manager to benchmark learner progressHelp raise expectations and aspirations of our learners, to enthuse, motivate and create ownership of own learningWork alongside fellow tutors to coordinate effective learningIdentify learners with additional learning/social needs and disabilities, ensuring they obtain the support they require with functional skills.Act on feedback from teaching observations, employers, peers, or other review processesWork within CP Assessments policies and procedures at all timesMinimum requirements for Functional Skills TutorMinimum Level 2 in English or MathsTeaching Qualification (minimum of level 3)Excellent organisational and administrative skillsExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenSense of initiative and flexible approach to workingKnowledge of basic MS Office packages, including Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookThis role is subject to enhanced clearance and vettingPay is negotiable due to experience and qualifications.You may have the skills, passion and attributes which make you the ideal candidate for this role, but you find it hard to evidence all criteria?
