Role Description
Role Description: Senior Software Engineer- QA Functional

QA Functional Engineers to validate the functionality of web and mobile applications. Their job is to create the initial test designs, write the scripts, install the automation testing protocols, and report the results.

Role and responsibilities

Building test plans, test suites, and manual or automated test cases for assigned changes.

Building up environments independently to test assigned work,

Executing manual and automated tests,

Reporting the results.

Effectively communicate with team members, project managers and clients, as required.

To test application functionality end to end, maintain regression suite and report the results

Work closely with other team members, business analysts, designers and QA

Document functional test cases basis on acceptance criteria and execute them.

Create Test plan, test data and daily/weekly status report.

Participate in planning activities, collaborate, and coordinates the efforts across development teams

Provide suggestions and adjustments as needed to deliver quality software within project scope and timeframes

Look for continuous improvements in the testing process and implement solutions.

Technical skills requirements

The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,

Good experience with Test Execution and Test Management reports

Good understanding of STLC and Defect lifecycle

Good Experience on writing SQL queries and on joins.

Good knowledge on API testing using postman.

Ability to execute automation test cases using defined set of instructions.

Self-starter and should be able to work in a Team setup.

Excellent communications and soft skills

Should be able to execute and deliver in an environment of changing priorities

Nice-to-have skills

Experience with Selenium using Java and Page Object Model

API automation

Wealth Management domain experience is a big plus

Testing in Salesforce Environment Experience is a big plus

Qualifications

5 to 8 years of work experience in systems or application development

B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer Science background is preferred.
