General Summary

In support of TOMIA’s overall Go to Market strategy and of specific products & campaigns, the purpose of this role is to organise events including TOMIA’s presence at global industry conferences/exhibitions, TOMIA’s own webinars/conferences/seminars either stand-alone or jointly with third parties, corporate hospitality, and internally focused events. Additionally in this role you will collaborate with other members of the marketing team in the delivery of marketing projects and campaigns.

They should have at least two years’ experience in a marketing & business development role, ideally within a B2B organisation
The role is based in India with potentially some international travel.

Responsibilities

Working with the rest of the marketing team, product management and sales on a day-to-day basis to initiate and project manage the events component of marketing campaigns.

Organise end to end external industry events and exhibitions, internal conferences/seminars
Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver high quality events from inception through to completion.
Generate and design unique experience for our customers
Assist in the identification of suitable conferences & exhibitions and qualify internal proposals to attend exhibitions
Coordinate TOMIA’s own seminars, roundtables, conferences & awaydays whether in person or online, including sourcing & booking locations, managing webinar platforms and organising all materials to be used at the event
Full responsibility for all aspects of each event, such as agenda, timelines, venues, suppliers, staffing, and budget
Work with the wider marketing team and sales to coordinate appropriate follow-up and measure success against established criteria
Maintain calendar of all external events and communicate to the business.
Provide advice and guidance on best practice for pre, during and post event analysis, budget recaps and participant feedback and incorporate learning into future plans.
Run internal conferences whether in person or online, including sourcing & booking locations, managing webinar platforms and organising all materials to be used at the event
Establishing working relationships with multiple interfaces such as: Sales, Product management, customer success, third parties and suppliers
Administrative support- Assisting other members of the marketing team with the delivery of marketing projects and campaigns

Experience and requirements

Experience of organising marketing & business development events that help TOMIA to create understanding of who it is and build relationships that enable sales to be made.
Ability to deliver pragmatic solutions that work within a commercial environment
Solid track record in positively influencing people at all levels within an organisation
2+ years’ experience in B2B events marketing
Experience in B2B technology/services sectors
Experience of working within a matrix organisation
Experience of working with international and multi-cultural organisations
Experience of managing events budgets
Capable of the management of external marketing suppliers
Have strong organisational ability, good prioritisation skills and ability to plan own workload and that of others
Solid planning and organisational skills: creative, proactive, flexible and willing to learn,
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work confidently with staff at all levels;
Be calm under pressure, a team player and good communicator who is customer oriented
Organised, methodical and a good planner
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver high quality events from inception through to completion.
Ability to use own initiative, prioritise workload and work as part of a team
An understanding and experience of the full marketing & business development life-cycle from building awareness with new targets to creating advocacy with established customers and the role events play in this process.
Experience in using with marketing automation & events organising systems (such as HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo & Eventbrite), PowerPoint and other presentation systems
Confident relationship builder able to work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and budget
