Job Description Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the S&P Global Commercial & Marketing Technology Leadership Team with the responsibility and autonomy to transform and lead the Dev Ops and Quality Engineering vertical. Commercial and Marketing Technology are expected to deliver significant business transformation programs in the coming years, in all Divisions at S&P Global. The Commercial and Marketing Technology group is restructuring and refreshing their vision and strategy accordingly.

The successful candidate will be a high caliber professional with proven experience in building and running a large enterprise Commercial and Marketing Dev Ops and Quality Engineering function. This role will suit an accomplished and collaborative leader who is keen to operate in a challenging environment using their skills and experience to build out all aspects of the function. The successful candidate will need to be astute and flexible about operating at all levels and able think holistically and strategically as well as being detail oriented.

To be successful in the role the candidate will need to have deep experience in implementing pipeline strategies, in cloud release tools and quality engineering automation. The candidate will need experience in BDD/TDD practices and automation as well as Scaled Agile methodology across a variety of SaaS and PaaS tools. The candidate will be accomplished in implementing CI/CD pipelines for large enterprise implementations with large development groups developing in the same environment. The candidate will also be responsible for developing robust frameworks and toolsets that will be leveraged across the QA teams, and to develop the automation/performance test strategy.

The Role:
As the Head of Dev Ops and Quality Engineering you will be responsible for Dev Ops and QA across the entire Commercial and Marketing Technology group. You will ensure the highest standards of delivery. You will be responsible and accountable for strategy, designing, developing, implementing, and overseeing the function.

Responsibilities:
Transform and lead Dev Ops and Quality Engineering as a best-in-class function
Partner with other members of the Commercial and Marketing Technology Leadership Team
Collaborate with stakeholders within and across functions
Have a deep understanding of customer environments and their use of the products
Ensure alignment and delivery with multi-functional Scaled Agile teams
Ensure that the team are service and results oriented
Ensure best in class technology, tools and processes
Implement best practices in dev ops, software engineering and automation
Drive innovation and advancement
Solve problems as they arise and install preventative measures for foreseeable issues
Provide regular updates and status reporting on the overall program and operational delivery
Provide positive impact on the culture and team morale across the group

Qualifications:
Strong and recent expertise and knowledge in leading-edge Dev Ops and Quality Engineering
Seasoned and experienced leader in both Commercial Technology and Marketing Technology
Excellent knowledge of business processes
Excellent interpersonal skills working effectively at all levels and across broad teams and globally
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in building and transforming functions in partnership with other stakeholders
Multiple years of Salesforce platform experience as architect or technical lead
Marketing technology experience ideal but optional
Experience as an architect with large, enterprise CI/CD pipelines on Salesforce platform
Experience with transformational Dev Ops programs
Degree level education

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $125,900 – $287,600. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus/a sales commission plan.
