We are looking for Healthcare Assistants to work within our Beautiful Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre based in Hothfield, Kent, Set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house that include two independent living flats, Hydrotherapy pool, Gymnasium, Therapy kitchen & Coffee shop.

We specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care. The service has 32 beds across 2 units that care, treat and support adults who are medically stable with physical, cognitive and communication difficulties arising from brain injury and neurological conditions.

What you will get:
Full time and part time to choose from:
Payrate depending on experience: £10.01 – £10.31 per hour.

Working pattern: 12 hour shifts
PT = 2 x 12 hour shifts pw
FT = 7 x 12 hour shifts per fortnight

In your new role, you will:

Build relationships with clients
Support clients to undertake their rehabilitation programme & social activities
Assist clients with personal care, mealtimes and activities of daily living
Learn specialist skills to help improve client’s quality of life, including communication skills
Accurately report and/or record work activities

You will ideally have:

A genuine interest in working within a caring environment
The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Experience working within the care and support sector (Ideal but not essential)
Some experience working with brain injury is desirable
The ability to build a great rapport and the desire to truly make a difference
To use a person-centred approach in all aspects of care
