Job Description : A new opportunity has been created within Ward 52, Victoria Hospital for a Band 3 HCSW.

Ward 52 is a busy acute 24 bedded surgical ward with a variety of presentations with fluctuating clinical activity. You would work a day/night rotation with 12.5 hour shift pattern.

You will be joining an already established nursing team and working with the current Band 3 HCSW to develop the role of HCSW within the ward.

You should be enthusiastic, dynamic, caring and compassionate, with a keen interest in surgical nursing. You should be self motivated, and strive to deliver high quality patient focused care.

We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and efficiently. You will be supporting the current nursing team by undertaking clinical skills and assisting with the assessment, admission and discharge of patients.

Experience within an acute surgical ward is desirable, although not essential, as supervision and support will be available to orientate you into the role.
