Job Description
As “India Consultant- Data Analytics and BI” the candidate will be responsible for Managing and overseeing consolidation and warehousing of large complex data from multiple sources. The Candidate will also be required to carry out tasks related to data enrichment and validation. The candidate will be working Near Real Time data and need to ensure all data transfers are successfully completed on a daily basis. Any failures in data transmission must be addressed in a timely manner and ensure data is updated. In order to complete the task the candidate should have sound knowledge on Procure 2 Pay process and 3rd party spend at category level. Having knowledge of systems like Coupa, Ariba, Workday, PeopleSoft and Oracle will be a huge advantage
The Candidate will also be responsible for enhancing our capability to analyze multiple sets of data and translate findings via self-service dashboards and help make better data driven decisions and scoping modeling requests to support the needs. In order to achieve this the candidate should have advanced to expert level knowledge on Tableau, Power BI, Trifecta, Cloudera Data Science Workbench and Excel. Additionally, having knowledge of Impala, Spark and Python will be advantageous.
The candidate will also be required to focus on building Prescriptive Analysis using Cloudera Data Sciences Workbench that will help the organization get visibility on options and best approach
Job Responsibilities
Develop/Work with Engineering team on creating Big Data and SQL codes for daily data upload activity.
Ensure daily and monthly tasks of large and multiple data gathering from various sources is carried on a timely manner. Data sources cover PeopleSoft, Workday, Oracle, Ariba Coupa, Amex, Expense etc.
Evaluate completeness of data from all sources
Ensure data from all sources should be warehoused in Data Analytics Services Platform (DASP) and in SQL where appropriate
Ensure daily and monthly tasks on data Management and Data Enrichment is carried out on time. Validate data accuracy and process
Work with internal teams and stakeholders to understand business goals, existing BI reports, KPIs, raw data sources and clarify visualization requirements / goals
Identify key business metrics measurements and develop ways to represent data in support of measurements
Collaborate on requirement gathering and documentation of key reporting metrics
Develop Tableau dashboards as per business requirement and ensure updates are carried out in a timely manner
Research and reconcile data issues in reporting and provide recommendations to support the rationalization of current reporting inventory and establish future state reporting
Provide support to projects that improve business, supplier spend and business performance. Use of JIRA for Project Management is essential
Provide information to stakeholders to help address their business questions
Create high quality analytics/reports and translate them into value added decisions
Provide training to team members on use of data visualization and dashboard design best practices.
Serve as a primary contact for all reporting and data related activities
Skill Set
Use of Bigdata, Hadoop, SQL and Sftp for data extraction and Warehousing
Extremely good to have knowledge on Python, Cloudera Data Sciences Workbench and R to enable Prescriptive Analysis and Forecasting
Must have strong experience in Reporting & Analytics
Must be strong in developing user friendly and interactive dashboards on Tableau, Microsites and Power Bi
Good Knowledge of Trifecta for data wrangling
Good Knowledge of Tableau Prep
Good knowledge on Procure 2 Pay process
Good knowledge of Ariba, Coupa (Data Structure, building reports) integration with other systems
Knowledge of ERP systems like Workday, PeopleSoft and Oracle
Pre-Requisite
4 Plus years hands-on experience in developing tableau dashboards using multiple data sources within the DASP data Lake or other similar data visualization tools Eg Power BI
Good knowledge of Cloudera Data Sciences Workbench, Microsites and Bigdata
Working knowledge of Advanced Excel (dynamic graphs, 3 axis charts, Waterfall chart, etc.)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other tools that facilitate the requirements gathering
