A rapidly growing business close to Newcastle upon Tyne
The Job
Our client will hire a Project Accountant for a 12 month period. This is a new opportunity and is suited to an established and experienced Management Accountant who is accustomed to change and transformation and has experience of implementing improvements to process, controls & systems.You will know what good looks like and liaise with the current team to establish their current processes and provide suggestions for improvements to enable a smooth journey from one system to another.
Day to Day:
Providing mentoring and coaching support to a finance team member to enable their journey to become a Management Accountant
Become embedded into the finance team and business to ensure a full understanding of the business and the various entities
Produce monthly management accounts and monthly reporting, financial accounts and general day to day support to the team
Be the ‘go to’ person on a new systems implementation, liaise with finance stakeholders and IT function – be the link between Finance, IT and Senior Leadership Team
Process mapping for the systems project, documenting new processes and controls, ensure training provided, data cleansing, actioning of process and controls improvements
Experience/Skills/Training Required
Experienced Management Accountant at various businesses
Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent is preferred, however Qualified by Experienced candidates will be considered with experience in Management Accounting and experience of continuous improvements, change and transformation
