Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to study right in the heard of the city and we currently have an exciting opportunity for an International Admissions Manager to join our International Admissions Team.
The International Admissions Manager will lead a team responsible for making decisions on very large numbers of applications for admission through the centralised decision-making process. You will be responsible for developing processes and procedures for large scale decision making to ensure fairness and transparency. You will liaise with academic departments and professional services to ensure delivery of the university’s recruitment plan, as well as monitoring and analysing numbers and trends to inform university planning. You will take lead responsibility for specific areas of admissions policy or projects.
Ensuring a high-quality, strategically aligned and timely admissions service to all current and prospective students, their advisers and University staff. This varied role requires the exercise of independent judgement and initiative, strong administrative and technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and management skills. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring best practice is shared and adhered to and also that compliance is met in relation to both internal and external regulations and policies. They are expected to work collaboratively with colleagues across the University to ensure the delivery of an excellent applicant experience.
You will have the ability to lead and motivate a team, strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills. You will also have considerable relevant work experience demonstrating practical and theoretical knowledge of admissions. You will be driven to explore new ideas and always be looking for ways to improve.
The Admissions team sits within the International Office.
