The successful candidate will work with Internet of Things (IOT) HSPE (High Velocity Platform Engineering) Software and Systems team. We are looking for highly motivated, committed Engineering manager in BIOS for managing complex compute performance systems
while maintaining the highest standards in high velocity disciplined predictable execution with highest quality.
Job Responsibilities

1) As a Engineering leader you would be required to build/retain high performance BIOS/Bootloader firmware team, set priorities for the team,
get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.
2) In this role, you will be owning and managing a team of BIOS/Bootloader firmware engineers and technical leads responsible for the
firmware development, validation and deployment of Software tools, Infrastructure and Solutions.
3) Lead, Hire, mentor, and grow a team of excellent BIOS/Boot firmware developers and firmware tech leads in a high complexity development environment.
4) Work across in cross functional environment and multi Geo environment to take an active role in evaluating and designing new efforts and future work.
5) Plans, provides resources for and directs activities in engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost.
6) Help assess costs and resources and plan out delivery schedules, and track progress against those goals.
7) Needs to be pro-active in driving our security and compliance efforts across the product in partnership with peer teams to meet product release readiness
8) A strong focus on teamwork, quality, and building things for long term success and good quality of deliverables.
9) Provides guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues in cross functional and multi Geo environment.
10) Flexibility to play additionally as a Engineering Lead owning program deliverables would be a added advantage.
Qualifications
Skills/Experience
–
1) Applicants should have a B. Tech / M. Tech in Electronics and Communications or Equivalent with 15+ yrs of exp.
2) 5+ years of demonstrable techno managerial skills in building/retain high performing teams in BIOS domain.
3) Good programming skills in C and Good knowledge in Intel Architecture (IA).
4) Hands On Experience in BIOS, Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) or Tiano.
5) Product Development experience in Low level Device Drivers/Firmware/BIOS/Bootloaders.
6) Well versed with Debug and Trace tools like JTAG, Intel CCA Debuggers, Logic Analyzer and Oscilloscopes.
7) Good understanding of Platform architecture – CPU, cache, memory, interconnects, IPC and Peripheral IPs interaction – PCIe, USB, UART, eMMC, SATA.
8) Good Experience in technically driving bare metal silicon Bring Up / Power On / custom OS Bring Up.
9) Should be willing to work in highly cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary and cross-geographic locations.
10) Strong analytical and communication skills is a must.
