Position Purpose

Under the direct responsibility of the project manager for Speech Analytics.
Speech Analytics is a platform in Asia providing business solutions around VOICE RECORDING TRANSLATION. It covers use cases for Compliance and Analytical needs. Solution is a mixed of Vendor product Aumina and custom in-house development.

The Java Tech lead with full developer experience will be responsible to oversee the integration of this vendor solution within the Banks IT System, ensuring alignment with banks governance and practices.
The Java Tech Lead therefore must have good experience working in an engagement that involves vendor develop products. In addition, must have the skills/ability to co-ordinate with different teams (internal/external) critical for problem solving / root cause analysis or for gathering of needs for project related activities.

The technical lead will also be responsible to ensure the technical stack used by the platform are in alignment with the group standards and adhering to the group security and including platform/software obsolescence management.
The Java Tech Lead must also be experienced in design & develop modular, reusable data exchange platform/layer (Java Stack) that hosts/consumes/orchestrates APIs from various upstream and downstream systems in a cloud platform, all in accordance to the organization’s REST API standards (test driven design, versioning, obsolescence, security). Should the platform be moved to a Cloud solution, the Java Tech must help to facilitate this transition.

Responsibilities

Lead a team/developer efficiently to drive the project to completion.
Engage the vendor on all technical matters (e.g. review of technical solution/assessment on technical impact of delivery / feedback on quality and effectiveness of vendor.
Participate to the full development lifecycle including design, estimation, planning, development, unit test, release and implementation support.
Work with the Business Analyst and Solution architects to understand the business requirements and translate them to technical solutions in the application.
Contribute / review the technical specifications.
Responsible for managing & reporting technical risks.
Control and Maintain the quality of the developments (norms & standards, frameworks, source control, technical reviews, code reviews)
Provide guidance to team members.
Participate to recruitment, onboard and train new comers.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Hands-on experience with various Java / Web technologies and frameworks: Java 8, Spring (Core, Security, MVC), Spring Boot, ORM (JPA, Hibernate), REST API, Micro Services.
Hands-on experience with POSTGRES PL/SQL, MYSQL and MONGO DB
Proficient understanding micro services architecture.
Hands-on experience as Tech Leader, coaching team members and leading the building and delivery of Web / API solutions.
Understanding of web services technologies such as Spring boot Micro services , REST, SOAP, HTTP, JSON
Proficiency in one of the Message Oriented Middleware (JMS, IBM MQ, Tibco EMS, Kafka, Rabbit MQ, Active MQ etc)
Proficiency in one of distributed caching techniques like Redis.,
Strong Experience on Container Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
Mentor a team and work with groups effectively.
Strong knowledge about design patterns and development principles.
Good practical knowledge of design of RDBMS and SQL.
Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience and knowledge of automated testing (TDD, BDD).
Experience on Container Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
Experience on CI/CD (BitBucket, Jenkins, Nexus, Serena)
Experience on Authentication & Authorization services using industry standard protocols like SAML, OAuth 2.0
Proven/previous experience with DevOps and Agile.
General banking knowledge or Banking knowledge related to Wealth Management / Private banking.
