INSIDE IR35
Hybrid role – 1/2 days per week in either Basingstoke/London office
Our leading Automotive client are seeking a hands on Lead AWS DevOps Engineer to join them!
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the solution architects and developers to drive the design and development of high-quality technical solution deployments (incl. production, test and dev environments).
Collaborates with architecture, infrastructure, security and external partners to ensure alignment on design is achieved.
Drive consistent & repeatable DevOps processes & tooling across our application estate.
Manage all assigned DevOps projects or continuous improvement activities within change initiatives, projects or programme to fully meet the defined functional and non-functional requirements within budget and timescale.
Interview and selects onshore and offshore DevOps consultants and engineers.
“Hands on” development and peer reviews as required, exercising troubleshooting and methodical diagnostic skills to resolve issues. On occasion, you may be expected to provide an ‘out of hours’ service for business-critical issues.
Key Skills/Experiences
Hands on experience in AWS is essential
A demonstrable understanding of the full Software Delivery Lifecycle
Has experience working closely with IT Operations, IT Development and IT Service teams to promote DevOps culture.
In depth understanding of continuous integration, continuous delivery, software configuration management, version control and release management.
Proven experience in the timely delivery of medium-large scale development programmes/projects.
Cloud Computing services, specifically Amazon Web Services: EC2, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, IAM, VPCs etc
Good experience in Git/GitHub
Docker Experience, such as writing Dockerfiles, understanding Docker Networking and Service Discovery
Understanding and Basic scripting in Node.JS, Python and Bash
Can work in Agile teams using Scrum & Kanban or other Lean methodologies
Strong analytical and management skills
Must be flexible to work some hours out of office hours for business critical issues
Insurance or Mobile Solutions business areas experiences are an advantage
