This position is for Beckman Coulter team located at Danaher India Development Center (IDC), Bangalore
IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, SCIEX, IDBS, HemoCue, Videojet and Cepheid.

The IDC workforce comprises various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.

The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility, measuring 120 K

Project Description
Beckman Coulter is looking for a Full stack Lead software Engineer to join our product software team developing web-based Analytics applications using Java, Rest API, Hadoop/Spark, and ReactJS/UI on AWS.

You’ll need to be well versed in object-oriented design and web technologies. You will drive continuous improvement through application of Danaher Business Systems.

Essential job responsibilities:
Designing, developing and testing of Beckman Coulter’s next generation analytics software products.
Perform Backend/Java and Front end/Reactjs (SDLC).
Provide effort estimates for implementation
Support in exploring new technologies for POCs.
Take ownership, deliver on time, and drive end-to-end quality – effective automation of unit level, component level and system level testing following Agile lean software development processes.
Troubleshoot issues in production environment as they arise and appropriate resolution
Understand and manage integration points with other systems that interface with your applications
Demo of MVPs to Product manager/stakeholders to collect feedback/improvements.
Support code merging and branching strategy, automated unit tests, automated builds, and deployments
Partner with other teams to provide exceptional solutions that adhere to, or create, standards across teams.
Attend morning/night meetings with global team in multiple locations on a regular basis.
Minimal travel as needed

Education/Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or Information Science/Technology or a related field with 7 to 12 years’ experience.

Must Have:
6+ years of experience in developing high performance, highly scalable, database driven web applications
6+ years of experience in Spring/Java based enterprise software framework ecosystem .
Hands on experience in web services and SOA related standards like REST/JSON.
Experience in working with Hadoop / Big data environment
Understanding OAuth 2.0 and hands on implementation.
2+ years’ Experience in front end technologies, preferably React.js
Strong in SQL/NoSQL/S3 and database design
Have worked extensively with REST API/JSON
Skilled with computer science fundamentals, Data Structures, algorithms, Object Oriented Concepts and Design Patterns.
Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
A strong awareness in software security
Keen business judgment, focus, and ability to see the “big picture” and prioritize
Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed and organized
Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment
Experience in understanding large and complex code cases, including API design techniques to help them clean and maintainable.

Good to Have:
Understanding of Hive on Spark engine & internals of HBase is good to have.
Azure DevOps
Agile Scrum Experience
Basic understanding of Statistics
CI and CD – Jenkins
Healthcare Informatics, regulated environment background is desirable.
