Job Description : This post will holistically plan, co-ordinate, mentor and support on training and assessment for apprentices across different levels, programmes and sectors. Your knowledge and experience will be shared with learners to ensure they achieve their programme at the highest possible level and in a timely fashion.The post holder(s) will:Undertake the role of cohort leader for an identified level, programme or sector.Work with the Programme Leader to ensure that your apprentices are successful through stringent learner monitoring and strict adherence to the quality, administration and funding requirements.Provide outstanding teaching on apprenticeship and full-cost programmes delivered by Dutton Fisher Associates Ltd (DFA).Ensure that teaching schemes, assessment schedules and learner monitoring provide a high-quality learner experience.Ensure timely achievement of all learners on programme and complete the required documentation to achieve Gateway and End Point Assessment.Key duties and responsibilities of the roleTeachingTo provide high quality teaching, learning and assessment opportunities across a range of programmes and associated activities.To develop educational content including programme notes, tests, and assignments.To deliver personalised instruction to each apprentice by encouraging interactive learning.Programme DeliveryTo lead, support and coordinate a cohort of learners through their apprenticeship journey.Remission on cohort number size may be offered to Tutors who fulfil additional responsibilities.To support the work of DFA Staff in the delivery and administration of education programmes.To be involved with curriculum development including the design of apprenticeship provision and full-cost programmes.To mark assignments, workbooks and projects.To take part in standardisation activities as required.Hold regular monthly meetings with other Tutors and Mentors to monitor the progress of their learners and to provide guidance and support as required.To evaluate and provide feedback on apprentices portfolios / projects in line with relevant apprenticeship standards.To support relevant staff from across DFA with their role/s including Quality Assurance processes, OFSTED visits and inspections/ ESFA data collation requirements.To work with and support the work of DFA in developing and sustaining client relations.To resolve any issues that arise to ensure clients are satisfied, and where appropriate to liaise with Senior Management Team and Client Relations Manager to resolve these issues.Programme Administration & Quality AssuranceTo ensure appropriate learner information is provided in a timely manner to relevant software applications including the MIS / E-portfolio / Virtual Learning Environment.Maintain documentation that records the progress of learners on programme against specified targets.To support DFA with signups of apprentices.Complete documentation in relation to visits to employers, learner reviews, assessment visits and any other such appointments that evidence, support and maintain relationships with learners and employers.Marketing & RecruitmentTo assist the Marketing, Recruitment and Innovation Manager in the promotion of DFA products to existing and potential clients.To be proactive in marketing/liaising with employers with the objective of improving apprenticeship programmes and forging partnership links.To support the administration team with conducting Interviews and providing guidance to potential apprenticesGeneralTo actively promote equality and diversity in all aspects of work.To take responsibility for own professional development and participate in relevant internal and external activities.To implement DFAs health and safety policies and practices, including Safeguarding and Prevent.To carry out the above duties within the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018 (GDPR).To carry out the above duties in a confidential and sensitive manner.As this role also includes working from home DFA will provide all the IT equipment needed to do the job.PERSON SPECIFICATIONThe person specification outlines what is essential for the competent performance of full duties and responsibilities of the job, including professional or specialist skills or experience required.QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TRAININGRelevant sector qualification at a level above which you will be teaching (or equivalent level if teaching Level 7)Recognised teaching qualification (Diploma in Teaching in the Life-long Learning Sector – DTLLS or equivalent) or achieved within 12 months on commencement of post.Assessor awards (A units or equivalent or a willingness to undertake training and qualification as directed by the line manager).Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications.PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE/UNDERSTANDINGKnowledge and understanding of apprenticeship training programmes and relevant accredited qualifications (CIH /ILM / CMI / City and Guilds)Understanding of the individual sector(s) and existing policy and practice relating to the delivery of services and provision.
