Job Description : Are you a graduate interested in a career in Secondary Teaching? Do you have experience working with children or vulnerable adults within the past 3 years? Have you been accepted on to a PGCE course this September but would benefit from some hands on experience within the class room?
Protocol Education are working with more secondary and SEND schools the ever before. We are experiencing an increase in demand for learning support and teaching assistants to work in schools across Sunderland.
So what does a learning support/ teaching assistant do?
Supervise and provide learning support for pupils with or without special needs
Assist with the development of individual education and behavioural plans setting challenging expectations for pupils to achieve learning goals •
Encourage pupils to interact with the class and engage in activities
Provide feedback to pupils and teachers on pupil’s achievement, progress and any problems that arise
Promote good pupil conduct encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their behaviour
Prepare resources required for learning activities and assist pupils in their use
Uphold policies and procedures relating to child protection and data protection based on each schools specific policy
If you are proactive and enthusiastic graduate with an interest in teaching, we want to hear from you. We are also interested in applications from an individual who has experience of working with children or vulnerable adults.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
