Job Description : Following recent acquisition and investment, a manufacturer has a new vacancy for a Management Accountant. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will take site responsibility for accurately recording and reporting financial operational accounts and applicants are sought a business acumen and strong good communications skills.

Commutable from: Cannock, Tamworth, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Lichfield, Rugeley, Walsall, Dudley, West Bromwich

Salary: £ 40,000 – £ 48,000 p.a. + benefits

Suitable for: Accountant, Manufacturing Accountant, Management Accountant, Finance Manager, Finance Controller.

The Role

Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, group reporting, external reporting and variance analysis.
Support the Financial Controller in completing internal and external audit processes.

Inventory Management, Control and Reconciliation

Balance Sheet reconciliations

Calculation, posting & reconciliation of accruals as appropriate
Fixed Assets reconciliation, calculation and booking of depreciation

Cashflow reporting and forecasting

Reporting of Sales & Order intake statistics

Finance partnering with Operations and Engineering senior management to help support more informed decision making across the business.

Supporting the Finance Director in functional development within the Finance team.
Ensuring all statutory reporting requirements are fulfilled accurately and on time.

The Candidate

You will be qualified in Accounting (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with previous costing experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment e.g. manufacturing/logistics/distribution. With high levels of drive and enthusiasm you must have advanced excel skills, with excellent attention to detail and a good communicator who can develop relationships across all business functions.
