We are looking for a new colleague whom will join our Intelligent Automation Factory Delivery Unit – the global group of professionals having technologies like RPA, Intelligent OCR or BPM part of their DNA.
Job Specification
Shaping Direction:
As an expert to the business units on specific automation and digitalization topics relevant to the pipelines allocated to the team
Ensures the team is aware of and utilizes current and appropriate technology and business practices in order to ensure the automation service remains attractive and competitive in future
In conjunction with the Intelligent Automation Factory Head, identifies and manages business automation opportunities, further supporting DPDHL global digitalization roadmap

Building and Leading Teams:
Recruits, manages and develops a team of IT professionals, from junior staff to senior veterans in their field
Be responsible for the overall direction, performance management, coordination, and evaluation of the team
Provides day to day support to the team as challenges grows, as part of regular reviews or through direct engagement during automation services delivery
Actively participates in and drives the team member’s continuous improvement culture
Identifies and eliminates silos and barriers to accuracy, productivity, and quality
Acts as an escalation point for the team; having a responsibility for providing communication of status to management and business teams
Ensures that all issues related to team members wellbeing are monitored and resolved
Provides ongoing performance assessment, feedback and coaching to team members
Delivering Excellence:
Adheres and develops DevOps principles used during automation services delivery and operations
Supports team members adopting and following Agile methodologies and best practices
Be responsible for managing the allocation of team resources to allow for rapid response to requests whilst balancing the overall utilization of the team
Identifies and delivers opportunities to improve the automations delivery
Identifies business-impacting issues and implements solutions and process improvements to increase business partners satisfaction. Participates in cross-functional process improvement initiatives
Owning the processes and leading improvement of the core development related activities from design through to deployments and operations in production environments
Working with other team members to ensure processes support the effective transition of projects into and through delivery phases
Actively working with development team members, architects and team leaders to identify, trial and implement automated solutions improvement ideas
Maintains team and delivery standards and ensures that team members adhere to these processes during all DevOps activities
Consulting:
Works in partnership with business teams, advising them how to use an automation technology in order to meet their key business objectives and targets
Provides advisory for providing highly expert technical assistance
Understands business teams automation demand, provides guidance and reviews automation pipelines to assist business teams and IT associates
Required Professional Experience:
Degree in computer science, IT or relevant field; MSc/MBA in business is a plus
6+ years of an experience being an IT leader (Software Development Manager, Team Lead or Team Manager), managing IT teams delivering enterprise-grade automations
4+ of an experience with leadership of teams delivering solutions using either RPA, Intelligent OCR or Business Process Management technologies; operating in DevOps and following Agile methodologies
2+ years of an experience in hands-on programming (scripting /coding), SQL and relational databases, and application development (.NET, C++, Java etc.)
Professional certifications are welcomed (DevOps, Agile, Project Management etc.)
Professional experience with CICD pipelines, code repository and quality management tools like SVN, GitHub, Ansible, Artifactory, Service Now, Sonar, Selenium
Professional experience in the design of bespoke software solutions at both architectural and implementation levels
Experience in requirements elicitation and analysis and automations development
Significant experience in working in multi-cultural environment, managing large project teams in direct and widely dispersed geographical locations
Strong people management skills, the ability to lead and influence others
Strong facilitation and coaching skills
Excellent personal organisation skills including the ability to prioritise and successfully carry out multiple complex tasks at one time
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience
Perfect written skills with the ability to produce clear process documentation
Fluent in English
