Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Nursery Room Leader to lead our team and deliver inspirational care and education for the children within our beautiful nursery based in Ockham, Surrey.
You will be working full time on a shift pattern within the nursery’s opening hours and manage a team of Educators.
For 2022, we’ve created N-Flex, a new kind of full-time working week, which allows you to choose between our brand new 4-day, 36-hour week, the classic 5-day, 40-hour week, or perhaps doing something in between with our 36 hour +flexi-overtime offer. Whatever you decide, you are in the driving seat!
You should join us if:
– You have prior experience working with children (ideally as a Room Leader, Third in Charge or nursery practitioner, nursery nurse or early years educator). For Baby Room Managers – previous relevant experience of working with children under 2.You have a relevant early years qualification (level 3 or above)
You have experience in leading others, coaching or guiding a teamYou have knowledge of local authority and regulatory requirements and inspection processes across the UK;You have a positive outlook (someone who always sees the glass as half full)You have bags of drive and motivation with a ‘make it happen’ attitudeYou love customer service (you want to make people happy)You bring high energy to every task you take on, and a solutions driven approach to problems
What you will be doing:Maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone plays as a team and can achieve their full potential, promoting the N Family Club culture and valuesBe responsible for the pattern of the daily routine, managing sufficient ratios and rotas within the roomSupport your team in delivering high-quality observations, assessments and planning for the children within your careSupport your team in creating Outstandingly Outstanding environments and practice each day, both indoors and outdoorsOverall responsibility for the delivery of our ‘learning through play’ educational ethos and the N Curriculum within your roomGet the most out of the team, providing regular feedback and ensuring the highest standards of teaching and care are delivered at all timesPromote professional development by providing regular feedback, guidance, coaching and learning opportunitiesPromote and role-model safeguarding procedures and the importance of child welfareEnsure all policies, procedures and practices are embedded within the roomTake the lead in daily team meetings and drive a continuous improvement cultureBuild and maintain excellent relationships with parentsWork on a shift pattern within the nursery’s opening hours (7am-7pm) with the ability to attend out of hours meetings and events as required
