Where You Fit in
Enterprise Technology Services & Operations Management (ET SOM) is responsible for secure and reliable operations of all common Enterprise IT services. Within ETSOM, Identity & Security is responsible for Identity, Access & Security related services to Shell users, business partners and Shell clients. With continuous service changes, interruptions and new services onboarding, I&S is a highly dynamic and motivated global group (60-70 FTE) of IT professionals.
This role of CIPM IT Operations engineer is for our CIPM service within the Identity & Federation tower (as part I&S). CIPM is the Customer Identity Profiling Management system and service that acts as the customer identity gateway to Shell apps. CIPM ensures that the accessed data is secure, reliable, and compliant. CIPM helps our business achieve a better user experience, enables business to drive marketing campaigns and run a single loyalty program across regions:
Complexity and Criticality: the CIPM Service is (highly) complex and business critical
Level of Change: High pace of change for application onboarding and product roadmap.
Stakeholders include I & S SOM, CIPM Domain Natural Team, ETP IAM, IAM Architecture, IRM, Lines of Business/Functions CP, Finance, ET SOM Demand Mgmt, Shell Branding, and IT/Business Legal/Regulatory.
What is the Role?
The CIPM IT Operations Engineer is responsible for managing the delivery of the day-to-day application and infrastructure services according to the agreed Service Levels by 3rd party suppliers. You are an expert in your field providing efficient and effective support and services whilst ensuring compliancy. Other activities include:
Drive efficiencies in systems and process: capacity planning, performance tuning, monitoring etc
Ensure the integrity of the application and infrastructure landscape
Work with appropriate parties for BC incident resolution, document solutions to known errors to expedite resolution of incidents and perform root cause analysis to minimize reoccurrence.
Assist projects in operational readiness activities. This includes analysing and understanding business functional and non-functional requirements for supportability impact, as well as assessing implications of landscape and portfolio changes)
work with the Domain Natural team, Service Owners, Architects to improve product features, process flow reliability and security (e.g. perform reviews the landscapes for enhancement and continuous improvement opportunities).

What We Need from You?
It’s your personal skills, business communication skills, experience in IAM, IT Operations, and IT security that will make all the difference in this role.
In order to be effective in this role you need to have:
3 to 5 years of experience of corporate IT experience in IAM space
Minimum Education or Certification: 4-year Degree related to IT
Experience in Federation and Authentication/Authorization of Consumer Identity Profiles
Experience in applications support and support processes, specifically ITIL with expertise in Change/release management including automation of Deployment and Configuration (CI/CD)
Knowledge of and/or experience with managing complicated IT landscapes, including multi-tier architectures, application security, monitoring & storage systems and a clear understanding of application integration with security protocols that adhere to a rigorous IT security baseline.
Knowledge of and/or experience with Supplier and Vendor Contract Management including Service Level Agreements, Statements of Work, COBACHI/other financial/billing mechanisms, collaborating with Contracts and Procurement, and when necessary IT and/or Business Legal and Regulatory focal points.

On top of that it helps if you
Have strong stakeholder, interpersonal relationship, and negotiation skills. Strong relationship and influencing skills to work with multiple (senior) stakeholders across organizational and business boundaries at all levels, suppliers. You’ll need to be a proactive problem-solver and strong communicator as you’ll need to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders in IT and the business. This role is a hands-on role which requires can do mentality to get things done. Same applies when it comes to providing guidance and coaching to internal team/supplier/vendor
Are a Self-starter with strong analytical, problem solving and coordination skills – proactive, thinking in solutions and delivering results. You must be able to identify and analyse operational dependencies across different solutions and service aspects
Ideally you also have:
Experience with IT project management, coordination or participation (including AGILE & DEVOPS methodologies) throughout the Development, Test, Staging and Post-Production phases as well as knowledge of and/or experience with Operational Readiness for new demand, changes and projects impacting the portfolio and providing sign off with Agreement to Deploy and Agreement to Operate as key milestones.
Knowledge of CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management) principles or working experience
