Job Description : Online GCSE Science Part-Time Tutor:ED TREE- Plant the Seed, Grow and Succeed.If you are an undergraduate or recent graduate and looking for a part-time online tutoring role, please get in touch!If you are a mentor, Undergraduate or young Graduate and/or want to help young students in education achieve their best results in Maths, English, 11+ (Non-Verbal and Verbal Reasoning), Biology, Chemistry and Physics we would love to have you on our team.We are looking for inspiring, friendly, patient, hard-working, reliable, and dedicated tutors to teach KS2 to GCSE. You will need to show you have a vast knowledge of different teaching methods to suit a range of student needs.You would be joining a young start-up team that is passionate about making a difference for each student. Applicants must have experience either tutoring, working as an educational mentor, working with children and/or young people and teaching at school. You must also study/ have studied a science-related degree.Criteria:Applicants must be either an Undergraduate or GraduateA relevant degree or equivalent qualification in the subject area(s) (preferred), candidates with other qualifications will be considered.Access to a computer, good working WiFi and personal mobile phone (for communication)Excellent communication skillsExperience teaching or tutoring students (7 to 16) and an understanding of challenges faced with online learning and safeguardingKnowledge of the curriculum and the exam formatGood ICT SkillsEvidence of good interpersonal skills and time commitmentA passion for inspiring young students to achieve their potentialWillingness to participate in training, learning new software and communication toolsProof of a “Right to work in the UK”What we are looking for:A fun, energetic and enthusiastic individual who can get the best out of othersOrganisation skillsFlexible and willing to work during evenings on weekdays and SaturdaysEnjoy teaching and value the importance of educationTutors will be required to work flexible hours, which may fall into the range from 4 pm to 8 pm on weekdays and 11 am to 5 pm on Saturdays which will be agreed upon with you. Tutors will be trained to use our third-party applications (such as the learning software and video conferencing), knowledge of IT is desired as Ed Tree is an online learning service.Applicants will be expected to attach a CV with two up-to-date references. Any applicants with no clear Science subject knowledge or relevant qualifications will not be invited to take part in an interview. Applicants will also need to agree on conducting a DBS Check if successful (unless one has been conducted within the last 6 months).Qualifications must be scanned on request, as well as completion of a DBS Check. Failure to comply with this at this stage will result in a termination of the process.Pay rate: To be discussed, higher rates will be for tutors who meet higher levels of experience.Hours: All contracts are subject to successful DBS Checks. Tutors are paid for the hour they teach.
