Job Summary:
System Soft Technologies is looking for a seasoned and self-starting Bid Manager to join our growing team and figure prominently in RFP bid life cycle initiatives. We are currently expanding our efforts in sourcing and securing contracts in federal, state, and local government sectors. A strong background within the IT Technology solutions and services industry will be essential for this role, along with experience in the federal RFP bid life cycle management to encompass opportunity identification, qualification, and win strategy development and proposal submission.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret RFP requirements to validate capture assumptions and solution design, and participate in the bid/no-bid decision
Actively participate in the pre-RFP capture process and work closely with the Pursuit Team to ensure execution of the win strategy and sufficient preparation for successful proposals
Prepare bid plans to oversee all aspects of proposal preparation, ensuring quality compelling bids are submitted in a timely manner.
Review all customer requirements to ensure that they are met in the proposal and collaborate with a wide variety of involved parties to include all necessary information within the proposals
Facilitate the development of winning themes and differentiators, and ensure they are updated, validated, communicated and incorporated in proposals
Partner with technical writers, solution architects and account leaders to develop the proposal response approach
Build a library of approved proposal content for quick turnaround opportunities
Lead and participate in proposal reviews, acting as a thought leader with respect to proposal responses, win themes, technical discriminators, etc.
Ensure the effective application of iterative storyboarding techniques for the development of proposal sections
Participate in Q&A, pre-bid conferences and bid negotiation sessions with client procurement staff from time to time as needed in the RFP life cycle
Qualifications:
5+ years of proposal management experience supporting proposal development with progressively increasing responsibility within the technology services and solutions industry
The successful candidate must have experience working with proposals and bid management process, in the federal and state government sectors as well as commercial industry verticals such as health care, insurance, retail, information technology, technology solutions etc.
At least two years of experience with developing and maintaining proposal management-related artifacts to include kickoff materials, master outline and compliance matrix, schedule, storyboards and or annotated outlines, writing instructions and templates, daily stand-up agenda, proposal team contact list, action items, and color team review briefings
Experience in RFP bid life cycle management, to encompass opportunity identification, qualification, win strategy development and proposal submission.
Experience writing RFP/RFI/RFQ
Bachelors’ degree plus related work experience
APMP certification
