1+ year professional experience with Automation and testing tools. – Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design and problem solving
Experience working with SDETs or related profile in building automation strategy and follow-up plans

The India Consumer Business (ICB) Technology team builds products and services that solve unique customer needs in Amazon’s fastest growing marketplace. We are a multi-billion dollar business with a huge potential to grow in a trillion dollar market.Our engineers own the complete consumer experience for Amazon India, work on a wide range of technologies (including AWS and Android) and build and operate highly scalable, low latency mobile first products and services. We are solving last mile engineering challenges for the next set of customers who first experience Amazon on their mobile phones. The India Consumer Business (ICB) Technology Support team provides tier 1/2 production engineering support and working with production operations teams for software product release coordination and deployment. This job requires you to hit the ground running and your ability to learn quickly and work on disparate and overlapping tasks that will define your success.

We are looking for a “Quality Assurance Engineer” who is passionate to work on core system architecture and cutting edge technologies. As QAE you will plan, design and automate various components ranging across Web front-end , service back-ends and Machine learning automation. You will also be building load testing and bench marking tools for services and platforms. Our quality engineering team is using open source technologies to build automation tools and test frameworks for building robust, scalable and reliable automation.

Responsibilities:

Automate the manual scripts using the existing automation tools.
Create and execute the test plan independently.
Promote Development and QA team’s productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices
Work directly with Developers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to ensure building testable and automatable components.
Mentor QAT’s .

Key job responsibilities

Automate the manual scripts using the existing automation tools.

Work directly with Developers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to ensure building testable and automatable components.
Mentor QAT’s .
Strong knowledge of QA methodology and automation tools, with demonstrated QA experience in an SDET or QAE role.
Strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results.
Creativity and initiative to improve test coverage, effectiveness and test process.
Experience in Web/Device based testing.
Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate impact and understand business requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong Knowledge of Selenium, TestNG and other open source testing tools – Knowledge of Java, .Net, C# or C++ programming language
