You as R&D Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business-based Bangalore, you will contribute for development of SCADA communication protocols IEC 101,104 DNP3 and OPC UA for Network Manager PCU400 product. You are required to understand the high-level requirements and implement the features efficiently as per PCU400 protocol framework. Ensure effective execution of high-quality software development on-time and within budget.
Your responsibilities
Understanding the high-level requirement and prepare functional specification.
Preparing high level design document. Implement and participate design and code review.
Supporting QA in writing test cases and prepare test plan.
Resolving product issues/bugs found during internal and customer FAT or SAT testing.
Ensuring delivery of a portfolio of projects on-time. Provides direction to the team with a focus on safety, quality, on-time delivery, and margin improvement.
Ensuring that standard procedures, specifications, and documentation are prepared with high levels of quality.
Providing inputs to Project manager in estimation of new requirements and identification technical risks and coming up with mitigation plans.
Your background
Bachelor or master’s degree, in computer science /Electronics & Communication/Electrical Engineering
5- 8 years of experience in Product Development
Experience in windows or Linux operating system internals and IPC and Socket Programming
Experience in of any of SCADA communication protocols OPC UA, DNP3. IEC 101/104/61850. Knowledge of SSL/TLS and IEC 62351 security standards.
Sound Knowledge of debugging tools (gdb), Static analysis tools Val grind.
Sound Knowledge of communication protocols simulator ASE200 and TMW test harness usage.
Hands on Experience in any of these SCADA communication protocols OPC UA, DNP3. IEC 61850. Knowledge of SSL/TLS and IEC 62351 security standards.
Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle Agile Scrum methodology
Strong C++ Programming skills
Good knowledge of OOAD and UML.
Proficiency in English, speaking and writing.
