Job Description : DT Resourcing are currently working in partnership with U-Educate, a dedicated Supply Teaching Agency helping to improve the education of children by helping local schools find their perfect staff.Currently, we are looking to recruit passionate and dedicated SEN teaching assistants across the Carnforth area (LA5) for primary and secondary education.Successful Candidates Must Have/Be: An enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to apply and pay for one.Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years recognised by Gov/OFSTED guidelinesExperience working within a SEN school setting or social care.Be calm, kind, and pro-active with students.Ability to help with academic work and tasks in a patient manner.Excellent team work skills.The drive and commitment to work as part of a team.A flexible and positive approach to new challenges and change.Capable of inspiring and motivating your students academically.Be reliable, trustworthy and be passionate about teaching!Communicate and liaise with staff and pupils effectively.Strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate with staff, pupils, and parents.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Be computer literate with good IT skills.Roles/Responsibilities: Attend to the pupils’ personal needs, and implement related personal programmes including social, health, physical, hygiene, and welfare matters.Supervise and support pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning.Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of, and responding appropriately to individual needs.Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.Encourage pupils to act independently as appropriate.Prepare classroom as directed for lessons and clear up afterwards, assisting with the display of pupils’ work.Be aware of student problems/progress/achievements and report to the SENCO/teacher as agreed.Gather/report information from/to parents/carers as directed.Support pupils to understand instructions.Support pupils in using basic ICT as directed.Prepare and maintain equipment/resources as directed by the teacher and assist pupils in their use.Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality, and data protection whilst reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.Be aware of and support difference and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.Attend relevant meeting as and when required.Job Types: Temp or perm contract opportunities.Salary: Leading industry rates depending on experience.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Temp to permSchedule:Monday to FridayExperience:SEN: 1 year (preferred)
