Looking for a Senior Azure Big Data engineer to join Sales Comp IT Innovation team. As a data engineer, you will be responsible for building and managing data pipelines which includes ingestion and delivery of batched data and streaming data from multiple sources. You drive the effectiveness, efficiency within the team and related systems
Build software modules required for extraction, transformation and loading of data to support the support demand reduction and automation initiative
Implement best practices for overall data processing and supportability
Collaborate and maintain strong working relationships with partners and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of quality data
Are you a high performer? We are looking for an individual with:
Detailed Requirements / Preferences:
Strong understanding & familiarity with all Azure/Bigdata Ecosystem components
Strong hands-on experience with languages/Tools such as Talend ETL, Hadoop & Spark
Working knowledge on SQL/SSRS and experienced working with both relational and nonrelational databases
Knowledge of Visualization tools like Powershell, Azure Databricks and PowerBI is a plus
Establish and implement Azure Cloud monitoring and management for availability and performance management
Provide recommendations on Azure Cloud architectural changes to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance
Collaborate with Cloud/DevOps engineers to develop solutions and solve technical and design problems
Experience in Enterprise grade solution implementations
Good verbal and written communication skills; influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
Work Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
At least 8 years of work experience as a big data engineer or similar role
Worked in geographically diverse teams
Experience transforming teams and organizations to new methodologies
