Job Description : Summary of Position :
Alcon is looking to hire IT Systems Software Analysis & Programming focuses on programming & configuration of IT Systems Software (i.e. software for use in operating/controlling hardware and providing a platform for running internal end user/business applications). The work includes: Identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives for the IT System ,Developing programming specifications, diagrams, and flowcharts and Writing code in lower-level programming languages to optimize the performance and efficiency of an organization’s IT platform/infrastructure ,Configuring, customizing, diagnosing, and enhancing vendor systems software (e.g., operating systems software and utilities that manage access to peripherals, facilitate networking, manage memory allocation, manage file storage on hard drives, etc.) ,Writing diagnostic programs to test integrated software/hardware systems and resolve system faults also Creating functional and technical documentation of systems software programs and code.

Essential Job Functions
We are looking to hire a talented Oracle database Engineer to architect our company’s Oracle database systems. You will be required to create work instructions and automate installation of database software, create storage structures, set up user accounts, debug malfunctioning programs, create backups, and regularly maintain the database security and To ensure success as an Oracle database engineer, you should have extensive experience with DBA front-end and back-end tools, excellent problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with Oracle database management. Ultimately, a top-level Oracle Engineer can expertly automate a company’s database system to maximize performance and efficiency.
Oracle Database Engineer Responsibilities:
Automate Installing and maintaining the Oracle database software.
Automate storage database structures with high-level security features.
Manage OEM Infrastructure for production.
Finding and debugging malfunctioning programs affecting the database integrity.
Know how to utilize Oracle Multitenant database options with multiple PDBs
Automate deployment of backup agents and monitor backups
Regularly updating standards for database security protocols.
Create shell scripts to perform Unix/Linux server tasks for databases.
Working knowledge of source code management.
Team lead experience helpful.
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications :
Experience:
Ability to write scripts to perform functions/scripts across multiple servers.
Proven work experience as a Database administrator.
Familiarity with Oracle database design, coding, and documentation.
Knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems, and SQL.
Knowledge of programming languages and API.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to visualize algorithmic structures.

Work Timings:
EMEA 1- 1pm to 10pm IST for couple of months and later on general shift 11am to 8pm IST .

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience :
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science.
4-6 years of applicable experience
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
