Senior Finance Business Partner

POSITION:
This position will provide dedicated support to the Jonas Fintech business. They will support the business in setting and achieving the Finance strategy and to manage the performance of the business.
The Finance Business Partner will form part of the business SMT and influence business leaders to take decisions and actions that generate the best possible financial outcomes. They will be accountable for all BU financial reporting, will provide recommendations to improve revenue and margin, alongside evaluating the sales pipeline and other factors to determine potential improvement interventions.
The role requires excellent business and commercial skills, with the ability to build confidence with the business leaders in order to influence senior decision-makers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Business and execute the following responsibilities:
Support the Fintech CEO & PBP to manage and challenge the business on current / future performance
Support the PBP & FD in setting and achieving the Finance strategy
Responsible, either directly or by managing staff, for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, financial reporting, financial risk and compliance management and BACS FM and Bureau operations
Manage the BACS Facilities Management and Bureau related operations of the business including collections, payments and reconciliations and ensuring compliance with Bacs guideline
Liaise with the CEO and resolve any operational Finance issues
Overseeing risk management, including all relevant customer checks (e.g. AML, Credit Checks, etc.)
Evaluate the product mix, provide insights and recommendations to improve revenue and margin outcomes
Work with the business and facilitate business input into the forecasting process
Support business with strategic account management and planning
Understand revenue, GM and cost drivers to aid decision-makers in improving revenue, GM and profitability
Monthly Finance Review reporting & analysis
Understanding the risks and opportunities in the business, mitigating impact on the business where required
Evaluation of sales pipeline to determine priorities and interventions that could aid conversion rates and future revenue and profitability
Oversee trend and variance analysis and explain commercial impacts to the business
Respond to relevant ad hoc queries from Jonas Corporate
Integrate acquisitions as required
Responsible for all audit and internal control processes
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and guidelines, CSI / Jonas accounting policies including Bacs and the FCA
Training the team
Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions and accountants.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified to degree level with an accounting qualification (CIMA/ ACCA/ACA)
Highly computer literate, with reference to accounting and management software (ideally Great Plains) and their application in a project-based, software engineering environment
Understanding of the trade-off between risk and reward, and not afraid to take informed risks
Understanding of revenue and cost drivers
Understanding of resource allocation/ utilisation drivers
Experience in leading and developing a team
Understanding of regulatory issues
Prior relevant experience in a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance or Performance Improvement business facing role.
