Job Description : Summary:
Genesys is searching for a talented web developer/software developer to join a small, distributed team that manages a Web-based documentation platform and related tool chain. The successful applicant will be: a self-starter who identifies and addresses issues without constant oversight; well-organized and able to provide regular status updates; a strong communicator who reaches out as needed to request support and drive progress; flexible and organized enough to adjust their day-to-day work to meet shifting priorities and assignments.
About our team:
The Genesys Cloud IX Team creates, maintains, and continuously improves the technical documentation websites that help people learn how to use and understand Genesys’s software.
Key Responsibilities:
Play an essential role in building, coding, deploying, and migrating to a new Web-based CMS/LMS that will provide intuitive, interactive, personalized experiences by leveraging Artificial Intelligence, SSO, and related cloud technologies.
Support and extend our current WordPress-based Resource Center, following widely accepted best practices and standards. This includes triaging and resolving platform and Web-related issues on the current site infrastructure, related automated processes, and the supporting technology framework.
Partner with other IT teams to seamlessly integrate the Resource Center Web site with Genesys’s enterprise systems and knowledgebases.
Communicate quickly and effectively with project managers, product owners, UX team members, QA team members, and development team members to facilitate understanding of deliverables, estimates, and prioritization.

Who You Are:
You have a passion for learning and applying new technology and are tenacious in the face of challenges.
You are experienced with Web development, both front-end and back-end.
You are committed to collaboration and teamwork in all facets of Web development.
You adapt well to shifting priorities and timelines using analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills:
JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, PHP
Experience with CMS or LMS development, deployment, or migration
Experience with Web security (SS0, authentication, secure coding practices)
Experience with source controls systems, including Git
Experience with responsive websites
Familiarity with skinning websites and writing custom CSS code to style output
Experience using AWS Cloud environment for deploying to a LAMP stack
