THE ROLE
We are looking for an engaging and inspiring Educator in the discipline of vertebrate/human physiology. This is a specialist Teaching & Leadership role (nominally 70% teaching, 30% educational leadership and service) that is focussed on enhancing the organisation and delivery of our Bachelor of Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Science (Human Biology) programs. The emphasis of this role is on pedagogic innovation, governance and improving the student experience along with strong leadership of academic programs and activities. Core duties will be coordination and delivery of our Systems Physiology (BIOL2220) and Advanced Human Physiology (BIOL3210) Units, and directorship of the Bachelor of Medical Sciences program. There will also be opportunities to teach into other Units in the Bachelor of Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Science programs.

Essential Criteria
PhD in vertebrate/human physiology or a closely related field
Demonstrated excellence in developing and delivering high-quality teaching materials and in developing curricula
Demonstrated experience in leading academic teams and the management and delivery of academic programs
Demonstrated experience in development of innovative teaching methods
Strong interest in improving the student experience and fostering inclusive learning environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage time in a busy environment
Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and with other members of the University
Strong interest in supporting the diversity of our students and staff, and commitment to equity in the workplace
