Job Description : Reporting to the Sr Director, Performance Engineering, the Sr Manager, Technical Product Owner, Performance Engineering will lead global performance engineering strategy, framework, standards, tools and roadmap to support Global Product Development teams. He/She will also work closely with DevOps, Product and Infrastructure Architecture and QA team to drive the performance of Finastra solutions to levels exceeding customer expectations. In addition, Performance Engineering leader will lead a group of 5-direct reports. You will work with cross-functional platform teams to assess and improve performance monitoring capabilities, rigorously simulate solution usage, evaluate performance, and identify improvements. This position requires a self-starter with the ability to work & prioritize multiple concurrent performance engineering projects.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of 5-6 Performance Engineers, Monitoring Engineers and Testers and other Performance Engineering SMEs
Break down complex business problems for technical teams to execute
Work with both remote and co-located cross functional teams (data engineers, machine learning engineers, infrastructure, security)
Ensure that the team always has an adequate number of prior prepared tasks to work on
Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
Work closely with business and Technology team to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
Apply agile principles and performance engineering best practices with scrum team and partner teams
Ability to create sound PI and Sprint plan and launches product changes with minimal guidance. Sets appropriate milestones and final deadlines for cross functional team. Practices judgment to involve senior management. Leads effective project meetings.
Own and shape the product roadmap for Bond’s Monitoring and AIOps platform
Create Product with Automation first, Self-Service and Developer experience in mind
Work in a continuous delivery mode, analyzing and delivering features reiteratively.
Create concise, quality documentation for requirements and system design that supports business and technical team requirements.
Work with Product Manager and Lead Architect, manage the release of enhancement requests and communication/release notes, presentable PI achievements
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, MBA Preferred
Lead Scrum Teams /Squad as the Product Owner
Minimum 10 years of progressive technical experience in software development, design, architecture roles
5+ years of experience in establishing, leading Performance Engineering/Testing Center Of Excellence and Execution
5+ Experience owning or managing /leading Performance Engineering and Monitoring COE teams and products (APM, ML/AI, Open Source Platform) in the cloud
5+ years of Experience in delivering highly scalable and Critical high volume systems such as Payment processing.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in establishing performance engineering standards, frameworks, best practices, and tools aligned with SDLC phases ( Must have at least one full cycle performance engineering strategy/CoE implementation experience)
Minimum 5+ years of practical experience in API/Service performance engineering framework, strategy and tools
5+ years of experience in analyzing software applications to characterize customer usage patterns, scenarios, simulation and profiling
3+ years of experience in implementing automated performance regression suites in CICD pipeline, Continues Performance engineering Reporting and Monitoring
Track record of Shaping business strategy for technical products or services
Experience working with customers, technical teams and management to collect requirements, describe features and functionality
3+ years of professional product management/ownership experience.
Excellent analytical skills and data fluency and Strong attention to detail with excellent writing, presentation skills
Agile/Scrum certifications or relevant
Skills and Knowledge:
Agile PI Planning, product vision, roadmap definition
Performance COE, Standards, Frameworks
Performance Testing tools – LoadRunner, Gatling
Non-Functional Requirements, Test Plan, Reports
Automated Performance Testing in CICD pipeline
Open-Source Monitoring Tools – Prometheus, Grafana, Loki (Open Telemetry) and Tempo
APM tools – AppDynamics, NewRelic, Dynatrace or equivalent
Azure, AWS Cloud Exposure
Programming Skills Exposure (Python, Golang, Java, JavaScript, NodeJs, Nest Js, Angular)
Superior Presentation and Communication Skills
