WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Informatica) to join our Data Integration team (DI) . The NRTDI team relies on strong architecture and leadership guidance for Data Integrations and Platfoms. We serve business and engineering teams across Nike, Inc globally to help fuel our digital transformation. This position will be based in the Bangalore “Nike India Technology Center” (NITCL).

This role is part of Global Architecture & PaaS, Global Platforms aggressively innovates solutions to drive growth while creating and implementing tools that help make everything else in the company possible. The candidate needs to have a strong understanding of technical concepts, excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and data analysis, strong verbal and written communication skills, and be self-motivated and operates with a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

Admin related responsibilities of connection creation, production migrations, and timely customer responseTake ownership of platform maintenance activities which include (not limited to) OS and Application PatchingDiagnosing and troubleshooting application and infrastructure errors/failuresAnalyze and report platform related issues with respective product vendorFlexible to provide regular on-call technical support (Weekday and Weekends)Build custom scripts and automations which are deemed necessary for improving security, reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance for our platformParticipate on building self-service capabilities for customerCreate and Update existing Puppet and Terraform code repos as neededLead tasks including planning and execution for complex projects and programsExperience with participating in projects in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environmentExposure to Agile, ideally a strong background with the SAFe methodologySkill set on any monitoring or observability tool
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

This role is part of the Global Architecture & PaaS and work with Near Real-Time Data Integration team.
WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or a related field4-6 years additional relevant professional experienceDetailed understanding and experience with Informatica products especially PowerCenter 10.2 and greater and IICSStrong Shell and Python development experience including expertise in REST/JSON APIsProficient understanding of code versioning using Git (GitHub)Good hands-on experience in LinuxStrong debugging skillsCommunicating with vendors and customers in a courteous and professional manner with strong critical thinkingGreat communication skillsExperience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Puppet and RunDeck
Hands on experience with Terraform for managing AWS resourcesUnderstanding of AWS technologies including but not limited to EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS Oracle, and taggingExperience utilizing an array of tools like Kafka, Splunk, NewRelic, Circle CI, Jira, and PuppetA strong background with cloud based and COTS data and ETL tools like Snowflake, EMR, HDFS, Quoble, Spark, Lenses SQL and Edge Node
