We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
Provide technical development expertise to convert business requirements into appropriate technical solutions
Plan, manage, develop and deploy work into existing production installations
Production Support of existing estate.
Maintenance and Support of existing hardware and software
Evaluates existing applications, platforms and provides recommendations for improving performance by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions, and assisting in the scope of modifications
Suggesting architecture improvements and recommending process improvements.
Evaluate new technology options and vendor products.
The role requires some facing off to the business based in UK, Colombo and Hong Kong
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Expertise in SQL, Oracle PL/SQL development
Extensive working experience as Markit EDM (CADIS) developer
Ideal candidates should have 4-8 years of development experience in Markit EDM or SQL, Oracle PL/SQL
Exposure to NoSQL DBs like MongoDB
DevOps & Tooling knowledge with exposure to Continuous Integration and Automated Deployments using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Maven etc.
Ability to debug, analyse and optimize SQL queries.
Demonstrable ability to gather requirements, analyse, question and produce technical documentation
Experience of working in an Agile development environment
Self-motivator, able to work alone but also able to understand when to ask for help.
Exposure to Message/Event driven architectures working with KAFKA, SOLACE etc.
Nice to have knowledge and hands on experience in banking industry, ideally, investment bank / Capital Markets
