Department Overview:

Corporate Model Risk: Wells Fargo’s Corporate Model Risk is responsible for independently overseeing the management of model risk exposures across the enterprise (including governing, monitoring, and reporting on aggregate model risk exposures, model validations, and model oversight across enterprise). This oversight extends to all phases of a model’s life cycle, including identification, development, validation, implementation, finding resolution, usage, performance monitoring, documentation, and retirement

About the Role:

Analytics consultant developing reporting of models via SQL and Tableau. Provide regular as well as ad hoc reporting, analyze data, present complex information to a variety of stakeholders. Business partner facing role and is responsible for working with partners in the business to monitor that the policy is being adhered to. We are looking for a high performer to join our team and help us set the tone on model governance across the bank, follow up on challenging deliverables and monitor overall compliance with model risk management policy. In this highly consultative and visible role you will collaborate with partners across the bank

Responsibilities :
Create reports in Tableau and modifying existing Tableau reports as needed
Execute regular reports and establish controls to ensure results are accurate
Running various weekly and ad hoc reports in Tableau or Excel
Help complete UAT during a MoRS release
Help put together reports and presentations in PowerPoint
Present complex technical content to various stakeholders
Document process steps for modified or newly created reports
Develop automated and reusable routines for extracting information from various data sources.
Create data visualizations that communicate information effectively
Effective escalation and remediation of issues and making sound risk decisions.
Develop and document processes and procedures, and related controls to ensure the processes are executed correctly and timely.
Work closely in developing enhancement programs based on process excellence initiatives and training schedules for new team members
Drive tasks and projects within the programs, including status, issues and risks, escalation and resolution
Support cross functional/virtual teams to drive business requirements for application modernization
Essential Skills:
University degree in statistics, math, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis preferred.
Microsoft Excel – Expert Level
Complex formula authoring, array functions, dynamic named ranges, pivot tables, data validation, conditional formatting.
Dynamic dashboard design, leverage Excel charting capabilities.
Knowledgeable in best practices of spreadsheet design.
5+ years of SQL Server
5+ years with Tableau
Experience manipulating data and reporting
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Familiar with relational databases.
Comfortable writing SQL queries utilizing aggregation functions
Understand the different JOIN types.
Knowledge of data visualization best practices

Knowledge of the Model Risk System (MoRS)
Highly organized and proactive. Should be able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and deal with multiple priorities.
Strong conceptual and quantitative problem solving skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with highly technical individuals and ability to relay technical information to non-technical users.
Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Understanding of the Wells Fargo organization, its business lines, and legal entities and financial systems
Ability to coordinate activities across the company with various stakeholders.
Ability to organize and present analysis in a holistic manner for management decisions
Experience articulating issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
